The Gospel of Luke

33 So whosoever of you does not forsake all that he has, he cannot be my disciple.

34 Salt is a good thing; But if the salt loses its savor, how can it be corrected?

35 It is not good for earth or dung; throw it away. Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear!

1 All the publicans and sinners drew near to him to hear him.

2 And the Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, He receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.

3 But he said to them this parable,

4 Who of you, having a hundred sheep, and having lost one of them, will not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after the lost one until he finds it?

5 And when he finds it, he will take it on his shoulders with joy

6 And when he came home, he called together his friends and neighbors, and said to them, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found my lost sheep.'

14 And when he had lived all things, there came a great famine in that country, and he began to be in need;

15 And he went, and joined one of the inhabitants of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine;

16 And he was glad to fill his belly with the horns which the swine had eaten, but no one gave it to him.

17 And when he came to himself, he said, 'How many of my father's hired men have bread in abundance, and I am dying of hunger;
