The Gospel of John

10 And he said to him, 'Every man gives first good wine, and when they are drunk, then the worst; and thou hast preserved the good wine until now.

11 Thus Jesus began the miracles at Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and His disciples believed in Him.

12 And after these things he came to Capernaum, himself, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples; and there they stayed a few days.

13 The Passover of the Jews drew nigh, and Jesus came to Jerusalem

14 And he found that in the temple they were selling oxen, sheep, and pigeons, and there were money-changers sitting.

15 And he made a whip of cords, and drove them all out of the temple, *also* the sheep and the oxen; and scattered the money of the moneychangers, and overturned their tables.

16 And he said to those who sold doves, 'Take this from hence, and do not make my Father's house a house of trade.'

17 And his disciples remembered that it is written, 'Zeal for thy house devours me.'

18 And the Jews said, "By what sign wilt thou prove to us that thou hast *power* to do so?"

19 Jesus answered and said to them, 'Destroy this temple, and I will raise it up in three days.'

20 And the Jews said to this, 'This temple has been built for forty-six years, and you will build it in three days?'

21 And He spoke of the temple of His body.

22 And when he rose from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had spoken these things, and believed the Scriptures, and the word which Jesus had spoken.

23 And when he was in Jerusalem at the feast of the Passover, many saw the miracles which he did, and believed in his name.

24 But Jesus Himself did not entrust Himself to them, because He knew all

25 and had no need that any man should bear witness of man, for he himself knew what was in man.

1 And there was one among the Pharisees, whose name was Nicodemus, *one* of the rulers of the Jews.

2 He came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi! we know that you are a teacher who came from God; for no one can do such miracles as you do, unless God is with him.

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, 'Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.'

4 Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old?" Can he enter his mother's womb another time and be born?
