The Gospel of John

And because there was a lack of wine, the mother of Jesus said to him, 'They have no wine.'

Jesus said to her, 'What have I to do with you, Woman?' My hour has not yet come.

His mother said to the servants, 'Whatsoever he says to you, do it.'

And there were six stone waterpots, standing according to the *custom* of the purification of the Jews, containing two or three measures.

Jesus said to them, "Fill the vessels with water." And they filled them to the top.

And he saith unto them, Now draw it, and bring it to the master of the feast. And they carried it.

And when the steward had tasted the water that had become wine, and he did not know whence it came from, only the servants who drew the water knew, then the steward called the bridegroom

And he said to him, 'Every man gives first good wine, and when they are drunk, then the worst; and thou hast preserved the good wine until now.

Thus Jesus began the miracles at Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and His disciples believed in Him.

And after these things he came to Capernaum, himself, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples; and there they stayed a few days.

The Passover of the Jews drew nigh, and Jesus came to Jerusalem

And he found that in the temple they were selling oxen, sheep, and pigeons, and there were money-changers sitting.

And he made a whip of cords, and drove them all out of the temple, *also* the sheep and the oxen; and scattered the money of the moneychangers, and overturned their tables.

And he said to those who sold doves, 'Take this from hence, and do not make my Father's house a house of trade.'

And his disciples remembered that it is written, 'Zeal for thy house devours me.'

And the Jews said, "By what sign wilt thou prove to us that thou hast *power* to do so?"

Jesus answered and said to them, 'Destroy this temple, and I will raise it up in three days.'

And the Jews said to this, 'This temple has been built for forty-six years, and you will build it in three days?'

And He spoke of the temple of His body.

And when he rose from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had spoken these things, and believed the Scriptures, and the word which Jesus had spoken.

And when he was in Jerusalem at the feast of the Passover, many saw the miracles which he did, and believed in his name.
