The concept of "spoilage" has become one of the most odious nowadays. On the one hand, sorcerers and psychics of all stripes declare "spoilage" to be the cause of all diseases, "finding" it in almost every person. On the other hand, it is spoken of only as superstition and prejudice.

But does spoilage really exist? What is its Orthodox understanding? Who is doing it and why? Who can it affect? Should we be afraid of spoilage and is it possible and how to protect ourselves from it?

The well-known Orthodox author Hegumen N has repeatedly addressed the topic of demonic influence on a person in his books "Do not be afraid, little flock!", "Hidden Athos", "What do UFOs, psychics, occultists, magicians want to "save" us from?" and others.
