The Book of Job

Have you surveyed the breadth of the earth? Explain if you know all this.

Where is the way to the dwelling place of light, and where is the place of darkness?

Thou hast certainly come to her borders, and knowest the paths to her house.

Thou knowest this, because thou wast already born then, and the number of thy days is very great.

Have you entered into the storehouses of snow, and seen the treasures of the hail,

Which shall I keep for the time of trouble, for the day of battle and war?

By what way does the light flow and the east wind spread over the earth?

Who makes channels for the outpouring of water, and a way for thunderbolts,

That rain should fall on a desolate land, on a wilderness where there is no man,

To nourish the wilderness and the wilderness, and to stir up the germs of grass to grow?

Does the rain have a father? Or who gives birth to dewdrops?

Out of whose womb comes the ice, and the frost of the heavens, who brings it forth?

The waters grow stronger like a stone, and the surface of the deep freezes.

Can You Tie the Knot of Hima and Loose the Bond of Kesil?

Can you bring out the constellations in due time and lead As with her children?

Do you know the statutes of heaven, are you able to establish its dominion on earth?

Can thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that the waters may cover thee in abundance?

Can you send lightnings, and will they go and say to you, 'Here we are?'

Who put wisdom in the heart, or who gave meaning to the understanding?

Who is able to number the clouds with his wisdom, and to hold the vessels of heaven,

E-38 When the dust turns to mud and the blocks stick together?
