13 And Moses said to God, 'Behold, I will come to the children of Israel, and I will say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you.' And they will say to me, What is His name? What should I say to them?

14 God said to Moses, "I am I that I am." And he said, Thus say to the children of Israel, The Eternal has sent me to you.

15 And God said again to Moses, 'Thus say to the children of Israel, 'The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob has sent me to you.' This is My name for ever, and the remembrance of Me from generation to generation.

16 Go and gather together the elders of Israel, and say to them, 'The Lord, the God of your fathers, has appeared to me, the God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, and said, 'I have visited you, and I have seen what is done to you in Egypt.'

17 And he said, 'I will bring you out of the oppression of Egypt into the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, into a land flowing with milk and honey.'

18 And they will listen to your voice, and you and the elders of Israel will go to the king of Egypt, and say to him, 'The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has called us; Therefore let us go into the wilderness, three days' journey, to offer sacrifice to the Lord our God.

19 But I know that [Pharaoh] the king of Egypt will not allow you to go, unless you compel him with a mighty hand;

20 And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders that I will do in the midst of it. and after that he will let you go.

21 And I will give mercy to this people in the sight of the Egyptians; And when ye go, ye shall not go empty-handed;

22 And every woman shall beg of her neighbor, and of her housekeeper, articles of silver, and articles of gold, and garments, and you shall adorn your sons and your daughters with them, and rob the Egyptians.

2 And the Lord said to him, 'What is this in your hand?' He answered, "A rod."

3 The Lord said, 'Cast him to the ground.' He threw it to the ground, and the rod turned into a serpent, and Moses fled from it.
