14 And they smote the overseers of the children of Israel, whom Pharaoh's officers had set over them, saying, 'Why do you not make the number of bricks yesterday and today, as you have hitherto?'
15 And the overseers of the children of Israel came and cried out to Pharaoh, saying, 'Why do you do this to your servants?'
16 Stubble is not given to thy servants, but bricks, they say to us, make them. And behold, thy servants are beaten; Sin unto thy people.
17 But he said, 'You are idle, you are idle, therefore you say, 'Come, let us offer sacrifice to the Lord.'
18 Go and work; Straw will not be given to you, but give the prescribed number of bricks.
19 And the overseers of the children of Israel saw their trouble in the words, 'Do not diminish the number of bricks, which is prescribed for every day.'
20 And when they went out from Pharaoh, they met Moses and Aaron, who were standing waiting for them,
21 And they said to them, 'May the Lord see and judge you, because you have made us hateful in the sight of Pharaoh and his servants, and have given them a sword in their hands to kill us.'
22 And Moses turned to the Lord, and said, 'Lord! Why hast thou subjected this people to such calamity, [and] why hast thou sent me?
23 for from the time that I came to Pharaoh, and spoke in thy name, he began to deal worse with this people; but to deliver, Thou hast not delivered Thy people.

1 And the Lord said to Moses, 'Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh; by the action of a strong hand he will let them go; by the action of a strong hand he will even drive them out of his land.
2 And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the Lord.
3 I appeared to Abraham, and to Isaac, and to Jacob, with the name "O Almighty," but with my name, "Lord," I did not reveal myself to them.
