The Gospel of John

6. And he said to them, "Cast your net on the right side of the boat, and you will catch it." They threw it, and could no longer pull out the nets from the multitude of fish.

7. Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "This is the Lord." And Simon Peter, when he heard that it was the Lord, girded himself with a garment, for he was naked, and threw himself into the sea.

8. And the other disciples sailed in a boat, for they were not far from the ground, about two hundred cubits, dragging a net with fish.

9. When they came to the ground, they saw a fire lit and fish and bread lying on it.

10. Jesus says to them, "Bring the fish you have now caught."

11. Simon Peter went and pulled out a net filled with large fish, one hundred and fifty-three; And with such a multitude, the net did not break.

12. Jesus says to them, "Come, dine." None of the disciples dared to ask Him, "Who art Thou?" knowing that it was the Lord.

13. Jesus comes, takes bread and gives them fish.

14. This is the third time Jesus appeared to His disciples after His resurrection from the dead.

15. And as they were having dinner, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon Jonah! Do you love Me more than they do? Peter said to Him, "Yes, Lord! You know I love You. Jesus said to him, "Feed my lambs."

16. Again he said to him another time, "Simon Jonah!" Do you love Me? Peter said to Him, "Yes, Lord! You know I love You. Jesus said to him, "Feed my sheep."

17. He said to him for the third time, "Simon Jonah! Do you love Me? Peter was grieved that he had asked him for the third time, "Do you love me?" And he said to Him, Lord! You know everything; You know I love You. Jesus said to him, "Feed my sheep."

18. Verily, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you girded yourself and walked wherever you wanted; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you up, and lead you whither you will not.

19. And he said this, giving to understand by what death Peter would glorify God. And having said this, he said to him, "Follow me."
