This book contains questions that have been received over the course of a number of years by the missionary department of one of the central dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church; and also the answers to them by a famous missionary and preacher are placed. The result was a very interesting, in our opinion, missionary catechism. Answers to many serious questions about faith and the Church are given in an accessible language, but at the same time the author managed to avoid the often excessive simplification of the topics under consideration. Father Peter was able to fully maintain the balance and harmony between the sharpness of the syllable, so necessary for a serious and unhypocritical consideration of such important issues, and, on the other hand, the balance of each word and careful tact.

The book is a priest's answers to questions received by the catechetical service of one of the dioceses of Central Russia. But, as the host of the presentation, an employee of the PCDRM Yuri Belanovsky, noted, the peculiarity of Fr. Peter's book is that, unlike many books of this genre, it not only answers "as it should", but also explains "why".

Alexy emphasized that the author of the book gives his answers "from a balanced ecclesiastical point of view, without falling into either the unction, or the spirit of postmodernism, or excessive subjectivity and publicism." Fr. Peter's book "is written from living church experience," so it "helps to awaken" those people who are "satisfied with a superficial stay in the Church," Fr. Jonah added.
