10. WHAT IS THE SOURCE OF THE TEACHING ON THE ORTHODOX FAITH?

We will draw the teaching on the Orthodox faith from Divine revelation.

11. WHAT DO WE MEAN BY DIVINE REVELATION?

Divine revelation is what God Himself wished to reveal to people, so that they could believe in Him correctly and salvificly and worthily honor Him.

12. IS DIVINE REVELATION GIVEN TO ALL?

God has given the necessary and saving revelation for all people, but since not everyone is able to receive revelation directly from God, He has chosen special heralds who have passed on divine revelation to those who wish to receive it.

13. WHY ARE NOT ALL ABLE TO ACCEPT REVELATION FROM GOD?

Not all people are able to directly receive revelation from God because of their sinful impurity and weakness of spirit and body.

14. WHO WERE THE HERALDS OF GOD'S REVELATION?

The heralds of God's revelation were Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses and other prophets. They received and preached the principles of God's revelation; and in fullness and perfection the revelation of God was brought to earth by the incarnate Son of God, our Lord Jesus Christ, and spread it throughout the world through His disciples and apostles.

The Apostle Paul says:

"God, who spoke many times and in many ways to the fathers in the prophets, in these last days spoke to us about the Son, whom He made heir of all things, through Whom He also created the worlds"

(Hebrews 1:1-2).

"But we preach the wisdom of God, which is secret, hidden, which God ordained before the ages for our glory; which none of the powers of this world has known... But God has revealed it to us by His Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, and the depths of God"

(1 Cor. 2:7-8, 10)

The Evangelist John writes:
