And Isaiah said, 'This is a sign unto thee from the Lord, that the Lord shall fulfill the word which he has spoken, 'Shall the shadows go forward ten steps, or turn back ten steps?'

And Hezekiah said, 'It is easy for a shadow to move forward ten steps; no, let the shadow turn back ten steps.

And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the Lord, and brought the shadow back on the steps where it went down the steps of Ahaz, ten steps.

At that time Berodach Baladan the son of Baladan king of Babylon sent letters and a gift to Hezekiah, for he had heard that Hezekiah was sick.

And when Hezekiah had heard the messengers, he shewed them his storerooms, and the silver and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointments, and all his armory, and all that was in his treasuries. there was not a single thing that Hezekiah did not show them in his house and in all his possessions.

And Isaiah the prophet came to king Hezekiah, and said to him, 'What did these men say, and whence did they come to you?' And Hezekiah said, "They came from a distant land, from Babylon."

And Isaiah said, 'What have they seen in your house?' And Hezekiah said, All that is in my house they have seen, there is not one thing left that I have not shown them in my treasuries.

And Isaiah said to Hezekiah, "Hear the word of the Lord, saying,

Behold, the days shall come, and all that is in thy house, and which thy fathers have gathered up to this day, shall be taken up to Babylon. nothing will remain, saith the Lord.

Of thy sons that come from thee, whom thou shalt bear, they shall be taken, and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.

And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, 'Good is the word of the Lord which thou hast spoken.' And he continued, "May there be peace and prosperity in my days!"

The rest of Hezekiah, and all his deeds, and that he made a pond and a water pipe, and brought water into the city, are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah.

And Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and Manasseh his son reigned in his stead.
