26 And they made word of him, saying, Joseph is alive, and now he has dominion over all the land of Egypt. But his heart was troubled, for he did not believe them.

27 And when they had told him all the words of Joseph which he had spoken to them, and when he saw the chariots which Joseph had sent to carry him, then the spirit of Jacob their father lived,

28 And Israel said, 'This is enough, for my son Joseph is still alive; I will go and see him until I die.

Chapter 46

1 And Israel went with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac.

2 And God said to Israel in a vision of the night, "Jacob! Jacob! He said, Here I am.

3 God said, I am God, the God of your father; do not be afraid to go into Egypt, for there I will make of you a great nation;

4 I will go with you to Egypt, and I will bring you back. Joseph will cover your eyes with his hand.

5 Jacob departed from Beersheba; And the children of Israel took Jacob their father, and their children, and their wives, in the chariots which Pharaoh had sent to bring him.

6 And they took their cattle and their goods, which they had acquired in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, Jacob and all his family with him.

7 And he brought his sons and his grandsons with him, his daughters and his granddaughters, and all his generation, into Egypt.

8 These are the names of the children of Israel who came into Egypt: Jacob and his sons. Jacob's firstborn Reuben.

9 The sons of Reuben: Chanoch and Phallah, Hezron and Harmi.

10 And the sons of Simeon: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ogad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Saul the son of the Canaanite woman.
