Thou makest spirits Thy angels, Thy servants a blazing fire.
Thou hast set the earth upon firm foundations: it shall not be shaken for ever and ever.
Thou hast covered it with an abyss as with a garment, and there are waters on the mountains.
From thy rebuke they flee, at the voice of thy thunder they quickly depart;
they go up into the mountains, they go down into the valleys, to the place which you have appointed for them.
Thou hast set a boundary, which they shall not pass over, neither shall they return to cover the earth.
Thou hast sent springs into the valleys: between the mountains flow [waters],
They give water to all the beasts of the field; wild asses quench their thirst.
And the birds of the air dwell with them, and out of the midst of the branches they make a voice.
Thou shalt water the mountains from Thy heights, and the earth shall be satisfied with the fruits of Thy works.
Thou dost bring forth grass for cattle, and herbs for the benefit of man, to bring forth food out of the earth,
And the wine that rejoiceth a man's heart, and the oil that makes his face shine, and the bread that strengthens a man's heart.
The trees of the Lord, the cedars of Lebanon, which he planted, are satisfied;
Birds nest on them: spruces are the abode of the stork,
high mountains to chamois; Stone cliffs are a refuge for hares.
He created the moon to indicate the times, the sun knows its setting.
Thou hast spread out darkness, and there is night: in the time of it all the beasts of the forest prowl;
Lions roar for prey, and ask God for food.
The sun rises, and they gather themselves together, and lie down in their dens;
A man goes out to his work, and to his work until evening.
How many are thy works, O Lord! Thou hast done all things wisely; the earth is full of Thy works.
