Behold, I will send tomorrow, at this very time, a mighty city, the like of which has not been seen in Egypt since the foundation of it until now;

Therefore go and gather together your flocks, and all that you have in the field: on all the men and cattle that remain in the field, and are not gathered together into houses, hail shall fall, and they shall die.

And those of Pharaoh's servants who feared the word of the Lord, hastened to gather their servants and their flocks into their houses;

And whosoever hath not turned his heart unto the word of the Lord, hath forsaken his servants, and his flocks in the field.

And the Lord said to Moses, 'Stretch out your hand to heaven, and hail will fall on all the land of Egypt, on men, on cattle, and on all the grass of the field in the land of Egypt.'

And Moses stretched out his rod to heaven, and the Lord brought forth thunder and hail, and fire spread over the earth; and the Lord sent a city upon the land of Egypt;

And there was hail and fire among the hail, very strong, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since the time of its inhabitants.

And the hail smote all that was in the land of Egypt, from man to cattle, and smote all the grass of the field, and broke all the trees of the field.

Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel lived, was there no hail.

And Pharaoh sent, and called Moses and Aaron, and said to them, 'This time I have sinned; The Lord is righteous, but I and my people are guilty;

Pray to the Lord, that the thunders of God and the hail [and the fire on the earth] may cease, and I will let you go, and I will no longer hold you back.

And Moses said unto him, 'As soon as I go out of the city, I will stretch out my hands to the LORD, and the thunders shall cease, and the hail [and rain] shall be no more, that thou mayest know that the earth is the Lord's;

but I know that you and your servants will not yet fear the Lord God.

Flax and barley were slain, because the barley had broken out, and the flax had been inseminated;
