11 I make my covenant with you, that all flesh shall no more be destroyed by the waters of the flood, neither shall there be any more flood to desolate the earth.

12 And God said, 'This is the sign of the covenant which I make between me and you, and between every living soul that is with you throughout the generations for ever.

13 I put my rainbow in the cloud, that it may be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud upon the earth, that a rainbow shall appear in the cloud;

15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you, and between every living soul in all flesh; and the water shall no more be a flood to destroy all flesh.

16 And there shall be a rainbow in the cloud, and I will see it, and I will remember the everlasting covenant between God [and the earth] and between every living soul in all flesh that is on the earth.

17 And God said to Noah, 'This is the sign of the covenant which I have made between me and every flesh that is on the earth.'

18 The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And Ham was the father of Canaan.

19 And these three were the sons of Noah, and of them the whole earth was inhabited.

20 And Noah began to cultivate the land, and planted a vineyard;

21 And he drank wine, and became drunk, and lay naked in his tent.

22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father's nakedness, and went out and told his two brethren.

23 And Shem and Japheth took the garment, and laid it on their shoulders, and went backwards, and covered their father's nakedness. their faces were turned back, and they did not see the nakedness of their father.

24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his youngest son had done to him,
