11 And the anointing oil, and the fragrant incense for the sanctuary: all that I have commanded thee, they shall do.

12 And the LORD said to Moses, saying,

13 Say to the children of Israel, 'Keep my sabbaths, for this is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you;

14 And ye shall keep the Sabbath, for it is holy unto you: whosoever defiles it shall be put to death. whoever begins to do work in it, that soul must be cut off from among his people;

15 Six days shall they do works, and on the seventh a Sabbath of rest, which is consecrated to the Lord: whosoever does work on the sabbath day shall be put to death.

16 And the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, keeping the sabbath throughout their generations, as an everlasting covenant.

17 This is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the Lord created the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he rested and rested.

18 And when [God] had ceased to speak to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him two tablets of revelation, tables of stone, on which was written with the finger of God.

Chapter 32

1 And when the people saw that Moses had not come down from the mountain for a long time, they gathered themselves together to Aaron, and said unto him, Arise, and make us a god to go before us: for with this man, Moses, who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has happened.

2 And Aaron said to them, 'Take out the gold earrings that are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.'

3 And all the people took the gold earrings out of their ears, and brought them to Aaron.

4 And he took them out of their hands, and made of them a cast calf, and made it with a chisel. And they said, Behold thy god, O Israel, who brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

5 And when Aaron saw this, he set an altar before him, and cried out to Aaron, saying, "Tomorrow is the feast of the Lord."
