21 Not everyone who says to me, "Lord! Lord!" will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, 'Lord! God! Have we not prophesied in Thy name? and was it not in thy name that demons were cast out? and have they not wrought many miracles in thy name?

23 And then I will declare unto them, I have never known you; Depart from me, you workers of iniquity.

24 Whosoever therefore heareth these words of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, who hath built his house upon a rock;

25 And the rain came, and the rivers overflowed, and the winds blew, and rushed upon that house, and it did not fall, for it was built upon a rock.

26 But whosoever heareth these words of mine, and doeth them not, shall be like a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand;

27 And the rain came, and the rivers overflowed, and the winds blew, and fell upon that house. And he fell, and there was a great fall of him.

28 And when Jesus had finished these words, the people marvelled at his teaching,

29 For he taught them as one who had authority, and not as the scribes and Pharisees.

Chapter 8

1 And when he came down from the mountain, a great multitude followed him.

2 And behold, a leper came near, and bowed down to him, saying, 'Lord! If you want, you can cleanse me.

3 Jesus stretched out his hand, and touched him, and said, "I will, be cleansed." And straightway he was cleansed of his leprosy.

4 And Jesus saith unto him, Take heed, tell no man, but go and show thyself to the priest, and bring the gift which Moses commanded for a witness unto them.
