And the disciples were terrified at his words. But Jesus answered and said to them, "Children! how difficult it is for those who hope for riches to enter the Kingdom of God!

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

And they were exceedingly amazed, and said among themselves, 'Who then can be saved?'

And Jesus looked upon them, and said, "With men this is impossible, but not with God, for with God all things are possible."

And Peter began to say unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all things, and have followed thee.

Jesus answered and said, "Verily I say to you, there is no one to leave house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or land, for my sake and for the sake of the gospel,

And now, in this time, in the midst of persecution, he would not have received a hundredfold more houses, and brothers and sisters, and fathers, and mothers, and children, and lands, but in the age to come eternal life.

But many shall be the first last, and the last first.

And when they were on their way, going up to Jerusalem, Jesus went before them, and they were terrified, and as they followed him, they were afraid. Calling the twelve, He began to speak to them again about what would happen to Him:

Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death, and deliver him up to the Gentiles,

And they shall mock him, and smite him, and spit on him, and kill him. and on the third day he will rise again.

Then the sons of Zebedee, James and John, came to him, and said, 'Master! we want Thee to do to us what we ask.

He said to them, 'What do you want me to do to you?'

And they said unto him, 'Let us sit with thee, one on thy right hand and the other on thy left, in thy glory.'
