40 And when Jesus returned, the people received him, because they were all waiting for him.

41 And behold, there came a man named Jairus, who was the ruler of the synagogue; And he fell down at the feet of Jesus, and asked him to come into his house;

E-42 Because he had one daughter, about twelve years old, and she was dying. And as he went, the people pressed upon him.

43 And a woman who had been afflicted with an issue of blood for twelve years, who, having spent all her goods on physicians, could not be cured by one,

44 And she came up from behind, and touched the hem of his garment; and immediately the flow of her blood stopped.

45 And Jesus said, 'Who has touched me?' And when all were denying, Peter also said to those who were with him, "Master! the people surround Thee and press Thee, and Thou sayest, Who hath touched Me?

46 But Jesus said, "Someone has touched me, for I have felt power come out of me."

47 And the woman, seeing that she had not concealed herself, trembled, and fell down before him, and declared to him before all the people, for what reason she had touched him, and how she was immediately healed.

48 He said to her, 'Be of good cheer, daughter! thy faith hath saved thee; Go in peace.

49 And while he was still saying these things, a man came from the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and said to him, 'Thy daughter is dead; do not trouble the Teacher.

50 But when Jesus heard this, he said to him, 'Do not be afraid, only believe, and she will be saved.'

51 And when he came into the house, he suffered no one to come in, save Peter, John, and James, and the father of the virgin, and the mother.

52 Everyone wept and wept for her. But He said, "Weep not; She is not dead, but she is asleep.
