And there rose up against Moses, and with them of the children of Israel two hundred and fifty men, the leaders of the congregation, who were called to the assemblies, men of renown.

And they gathered themselves together against Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, It is enough unto you; the whole society, all are holy, and the Lord is in their midst! Why then do you set yourselves above the people of the Lord?

And when Moses heard this, he fell on his face

And he said to Korah and to all his associates, saying, 'Tomorrow the Lord will show who he is, and who is holy, to draw him near to himself; and whomsoever He chooses, He will also draw near to Himself;

This is what you shall do: Korah and all his accomplices, take for yourselves censers

And tomorrow you shall put fire in them, and pour incense into them before the Lord; and whomsoever the Lord chooses, the same will be holy. Enough of you, sons of Levi!

And Moses said to Korah, Hearken, ye sons of Levi!

Is it not enough for you that the God of Israel has set you apart from the congregation of Israel, and has drawn you near to himself, that you may perform the services at the tabernacle of the Lord, and stand before the congregation [of the Lord], ministering for them?

He hath brought thee near, and with thee all thy brethren, the sons of Levi, and ye also seek the priesthood.

So you and all your congregation are gathered against the Lord. What is Aaron, why do you murmur against him?

And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab. But they said, "Let us not go!"

Is it not enough that you brought us out of the land flowing with milk and honey to destroy us in the wilderness? And you still want to rule over us!

Have you brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey, and have you given us fields and vineyards for our possession? Do you want to blind the eyes of these people? Let's not go!

And Moses was very grieved, and said unto the Lord, Turn not thy eyes unto their offerings; I did not take an ass from any of them, nor did any harm to any of them.
