And if the Lord does an extraordinary thing, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them up and all that they have, and they go down alive into hell, then know that these people have despised the Lord.

And as soon as he had spoken these words, the earth was scattered beneath them;

And the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the people of Korah, and all their goods.

And they went down with all that belonged to them, alive into hell, and the earth covered them, and they perished from among the congregation.

And all the Israelites who were round about them fled at their cry, lest, they said, the earth should swallow us up.

And fire went forth from the Lord, and devoured those two hundred and fifty men who brought incense.

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

Speak to Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, 'He shall gather up the censers of those who have been burned, and cast the fire out; for they were sanctified

The censers of these sinners because of their death, and they shall break them into sheets to cover the altar, for they have offered them before the Lord, and they have become sanctified. and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.

And Eleazar the priest took the brass censers that had been burnt and broke them into plates to cover the altar,

In remembrance of the children of Israel, that no stranger, who is not of the seed of Aaron, shall come to offer incense before the Lord, and it shall not be with him as with Korah, and with his companions, as the LORD had spoken to him through Moses.

And on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron, saying, 'You have slain the people of the Lord.'

And when the congregation was gathered together against Moses and Aaron, they turned to the tabernacle of meeting, and behold, a cloud covered it, and the glory of the Lord was manifested.

And Moses and Aaron came to the Tabernacle of Meeting.
