Speak to Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, 'He shall gather up the censers of those who have been burned, and cast the fire out; for they were sanctified

The censers of these sinners because of their death, and they shall break them into sheets to cover the altar, for they have offered them before the Lord, and they have become sanctified. and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.

And Eleazar the priest took the brass censers that had been burnt and broke them into plates to cover the altar,

In remembrance of the children of Israel, that no stranger, who is not of the seed of Aaron, shall come to offer incense before the Lord, and it shall not be with him as with Korah, and with his companions, as the LORD had spoken to him through Moses.

And on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron, saying, 'You have slain the people of the Lord.'

And when the congregation was gathered together against Moses and Aaron, they turned to the tabernacle of meeting, and behold, a cloud covered it, and the glory of the Lord was manifested.

And Moses and Aaron came to the Tabernacle of Meeting.

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

Turn away from this company, and I will destroy them in a moment. But they fell on their faces.

And Moses said to Aaron, 'Take the censer, and put in it the fire from the altar, and pour in the incense, and bring it quickly to the congregation and intercede for them, for the wrath of the Lord has gone forth, [and] the defeat has begun.'

And Aaron took it, as Moses had said, and fled into the midst of the congregation, and behold, the defeat among the people had already begun. And he put on incense and interceded with the people;

He stood between the dead and the living, and the defeat ceased.

And fourteen thousand seven hundred men died by the defeat, besides those who died in the cause of Korah.

And Aaron returned to Moses, to the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting, after the defeat had ceased.
