33 Walk in the way which the LORD your God has commanded you, that you may live, and it may be well with you, and that you may live a long time in the land which you shall possess.
Chapter 6
1 These are the commandments, the statutes, and the laws which the LORD your God has commanded to teach you, that you should do in the land into which you are going, that you might possess it.
2 that thou mayest fear the Lord thy God, and that thou shalt keep all his statutes and his commandments which I command thee, thou and thy sons, and the sons of thy sons, all the days of thy life, that thy days may be long.
3 Hear, therefore, O Israel, and seek to do these things, that it may be well with you, and that you may multiply greatly, as the Lord God of your fathers told you that he would give you a land flowing with milk and honey. [These are the statutes and laws which the Lord God commanded the children of Israel in the wilderness, after they came out of the land of Egypt.]
4 Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one;
5 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
6 And these words which I command you this day shall be in your heart [and in your soul];
7 And thou shalt teach them unto thy children, and thou shalt speak of them, sitting in thy house, and going by the way, and lying down, and rising up;
8 And thou shalt bind them as a sign on thy hand, and let them be a bandage over thy eyes,
9 And thou shalt write them on the doorposts of thy house, and on thy gates.
10 And when the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land which he swore to thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give thee, with great and good cities, which thou hast not built,
11 And with houses filled with all good things which thou hast not filled, and with wells hewn out of stone which thou hast not hewn, with vineyards and olive trees which thou hast not planted, and thou shalt eat and be satisfied,
12 then take heed lest [thy heart be deceived, and] thou shalt forget the Lord, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
