New Testament under the editorship of Bishop. Cassiana Bezobrazova

7 Again he designates a certain day, "today," speaking through David, after so long a time, as it was said above, "Today, if ye hear his voice, do not harden your hearts."

8 For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have continued to speak of another day after that.

9 So there remains the Sabbath for the people of God.

10 For he who entered into His rest also rested from his works, as God from His.

11 Let us therefore endeavour to enter into this rest, lest any man fall by following the same example of disobedience.

12 For the word of God is alive and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and pierces to the division of soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and judges the movements and thoughts of the heart.

13 And there is no creature hidden before him, but all things are naked and open before his eyes. We will give him an account.

14 Therefore, having a great High Priest who has passed through heaven, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast to the confession.

15 For we have no high priest, who cannot have compassion on our infirmities, but is tempted in all things, even as we are, except sin.

16 Let us, therefore, approach boldly to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and obtain grace for our timely help.

Hebrews 5

1 For every high priest chosen from among men is appointed for the service of men before God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins,

2 Who is able to condescend to those who do not know and go astray, because he himself is burdened with weakness,

3 Wherefore he is to offer sacrifices for sins both for the people and for himself.
