Psalms-Psalter in translations (arrangements) in verse
And the wicked, no matter how hard they try to be saved,
On the battlefield they will find destruction.
Thou hast given me the wicked to trample underfoot,
When he did not stretch out his shield over them,
He snatched the weapon and with his hand
About all of them forever erased the memory.
Who created the world according to His laws,
Who judges us according to His righteousness,
You will be the hope of the oppressed,
A support for the mourners in a dark hour.
Let our voice glorify among the earthly tribes
You, whose light rises on Zion!
Thou hast created all things, and Thou art above all things,
You repay love for love,
You will demand from us for the shed blood
And you hear the groan of our suffering.
Turn away my destruction too,
Calm my innumerable troubles.
The darkness of the wicked is on my way,
Who was an enemy, who was a friend and betrayed —
Protect me from them all, O God!
To some the wicked dug ditches,
Yes, they themselves disappeared in these ditches.
To destroy someone they set a net,
Yes, they themselves are stuck in those nets.
Thou art known by men, O Lord, and known
According to Thy judgment
And because he was plotting
From these intrigues he himself got into trouble.
From those who have forgotten Thee, O God, Thou shalt demand;
No one can escape judgment,
But the poor man is not forgotten forever,
There is a light of hope even before a beggar.
O Lord, in Thy majesty
Appear, so that no one will forget forever
