Psalms-Psalter in translations (arrangements) in verse
To some the wicked dug ditches,
Yes, they themselves disappeared in these ditches.
To destroy someone they set a net,
Yes, they themselves are stuck in those nets.
Thou art known by men, O Lord, and known
According to Thy judgment
And because he was plotting
From these intrigues he himself got into trouble.
From those who have forgotten Thee, O God, Thou shalt demand;
No one can escape judgment,
But the poor man is not forgotten forever,
There is a light of hope even before a beggar.
O Lord, in Thy majesty
Appear, so that no one will forget forever
That we are only human
And we shall all stand before Thy judgment.
Let the mortal remember that he is not the lord
To him for the time of the land given.
O Lord, in the hour of great sorrow,
Turning away from us, do not stand afar.
Some are in pride or blindness
The persecuted people are trying to overcome,
But they invented tricks
Let him himself be caught in the net.
Some are proud of their lust,
The other in greed is blessed,
And thinking of God's right hand,
"He will not demand!" he said to himself.
The wicked one counts himself above all,
As long as I did not bring the wrath of God,
Neglecting the truth; he does not think:
"God's judgment is inevitable, though far away!"
In another language is evil destruction,
Bile and a curse on his lips,
He hides in secret places,
