How to Read the Bible

And I had compassion on my holy name, which I had profaned the house of Israel among the nations whither I came.

Therefore say to the house of Israel, 'Thus says the Lord God, I will not do this for you, O house of Israel, but for my holy name's sake, which you have profaned among the nations whither you have come.'

And I will sanctify my great name, which is dishonored among the nations among whom you have dishonored it, and the nations will know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I have shown my holiness upon you before their eyes.

And I will take you from the nations, and I will gather you from all countries, and I will bring you into your land.

And I will sprinkle you with pure water, and you will be cleansed from all your defilements, and I will cleanse you from all your idols.

And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will give you; and I will take out of your flesh a heart of stone, and give you a heart of flesh.

I will put my spirit within you, and I will cause you to walk in my commandments, and to keep and do my statutes.

And you will dwell in the land which I gave to your fathers, and you will be my people, and I will be your God.

And I will deliver you from all your uncleanness, and I will call for bread, and I will multiply it, and I will not let you suffer hunger.

And I will multiply the fruit of the trees, and the produce of the fields, that ye may not suffer the reproach of the nations because of famine.

Then remember your evil ways and your evil deeds, and you will feel disgust against yourselves because of your iniquities and because of your abominations.

It is not for your sake that I will do this, says the Lord God, let it be known to you. Blush and be ashamed of your ways, O house of Israel.

Thus saith the Lord God, In the day that I will cleanse you from all your iniquities, and populate the cities, and the ruins shall be built up,

And the desolate land shall be cultivated, being a desolation in the sight of every passer-by,
