How to Read the Bible

24 On the way to the night's lodging, it came to pass that the Lord met him, and wanted to kill him.

25 Then Zipporah took a stone knife, and circumcised the foreskin of her son, and threw it at his feet, saying, 'You are a bridegroom of my blood.'

26 And the Lord departed from him. Then she said, "The bridegroom of the blood is circumcision."

27 And the Lord said to Aaron, 'Go to meet Moses in the wilderness.' And he went, and met him at the mountain of God, and kissed him.

28 And Moses told Aaron all the words of the Lord who had sent him, and all the signs which he had commanded.

29 And Moses went with Aaron, and they gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel,

30 And Aaron recounted all the words which the LORD had spoken to Moses; And Moses made signs in the sight of the people;

31 And the people believed; And they heard that the Lord had visited the children of Israel, and had seen their affliction, and they bowed down and worshipped.

1 And after these things Moses and Aaron came to Pharaoh, and said, Thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may keep a feast for me in the wilderness.

2 But Pharaoh said, "Who is the Lord, that I should obey his voice, and let Israel go?" I do not know the Lord, and I will not let Israel go.

3 They said, 'The God of the Hebrews has called us; let us go into the wilderness for three days' journey to offer sacrifice to the Lord our God, lest he smite us with a plague or with a sword.

4 And the king of Egypt said unto them, Why do you, Moses and Aaron, distract the people from their works? Go to your work.

5 And Pharaoh said, "Behold, the people in this land are many, and you divert them from their work."
