How to Read the Bible

24 The sons of Korah: Asher, Elkanah, and Abiasaf: these are the families of Korah.

25 Eleazar the son of Aaron took one of the daughters of Phuthiel to wife, and she bore him Phinehas. These are the leaders of the generations of the Levites according to their families.

26 Aaron and Moses, these are the ones to whom the Lord said, 'Bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt according to their armies.'

27 And they spake unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, To bring the children of Israel out of Egypt; these are Moses and Aaron.

28 So at the time when the Lord was speaking to Moses in the land of Egypt,

29 The Lord said to Moses, saying, "I am the Lord! Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say to you.

30 And Moses said before the Lord, 'Behold, I am wordless: how then will Pharaoh listen to me?'

1 And the Lord said unto Moses, Behold, I have made thee God unto Pharaoh, and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.

2 Thou shalt speak all that I command thee, and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he shall let the children of Israel go out of his land.

3 but I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and I will manifest many of my signs and wonders in the land of Egypt.

4 Pharaoh will not listen to you, and I will lay my hand on Egypt, and will bring up my army, my people, the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt with great judgments.

5 then shall the Egyptians know that I am the Lord, when I stretch out my hand against Egypt, and bring forth the children of Israel from among them.

6 And Moses and Aaron did as the Lord had commanded them, so they did.

7 Moses was eighty, and Aaron eighty-three, when they began to speak to Pharaoh.

8 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,

9 And if Pharaoh saith unto you, 'Do a miracle,' thou shalt say unto Aaron, 'Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and he shall become a serpent.'

10 Moses and Aaron came to Pharaoh, and did as the Lord had commanded. And Aaron threw down his rod before Pharaoh and his servants, and he became a serpent.

11 And Pharaoh called wise men and sorcerers; and these wise men of Egypt did the same by their charms:

12 And every one of them threw down his rod, and they became serpents, but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.

13 Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he did not listen to them, as the Lord had spoken.
