A COLLECTION OF EPISTLES

To your shepherds I beseech you, a co-shepherd and witness of the sufferings of Christ, and a partaker in the glory which is to be revealed:

Feed the flock of God which is among you, watching over it, not under compulsion, but willingly, and pleasing to God, not for abominable gain, but out of diligence,

and not having dominion over the inheritance of God, but setting an example for the flock;

And when the Chief Shepherd appears, ye shall receive a crown of glory that does not fade.

Likewise, the younger ones, obey the shepherds; nevertheless, in submission to one another, clothe yourselves with humility, for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.

Cast all your cares on him, for he cares for you.

Be sober, be watchful, for your adversary the devil walketh about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Resist him with firm faith, knowing that the same afflictions befall your brethren in the world.

And the God of all grace, who has called us to his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, Himself, after your suffering for a short time, may He perfect you, that He may strengthen you, that He may strengthen you, that He may make you immovable.

To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

These things I have written to you briefly through Silvanus, who I think is your faithful brother, to assure you, comforting you, and bearing witness that this is the true grace of God, in which you stand.

The chosen church in Babylon greets you, and Mark my son.

Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace be unto you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.
