A COLLECTION OF EPISTLES

10 Not to steal, but to show all good faithfulness, that they may be in all things an ornament to the doctrine of our Saviour God.

11 For the grace of God has appeared, which saves all men,

12 Teaching us that, having rejected ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live chastely, righteously, and godly in this present age,

13 Looking forward to the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ,

14 Who gave himself for us, that he might deliver us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a special people, zealous for good works.

15 Thus speak, exhort, and rebuke with all authority, that no man may despise thee.

3

1 Remind them to obey, and to be subject to principalities and powers, to be ready for every good work,

2 To speak evil of no man, to be not quarrelsome, but quiet, and to show all meekness to all men.

3 For we also were once foolish, disobedient, erring, slaves to lusts and divers pleasures, living in malice and envy, being abominable, hating one another.

4 And when the grace and love of mankind of our Saviour God was manifested,

5 He has saved us, not by works of righteousness that we would have done, but by his mercy, by the bath of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Ghost,

6 Whom he has poured out abundantly upon us through Jesus Christ our Saviour,

7 that, being justified by his grace, we may be made heirs of eternal life in hope.

8 This word is true; and I desire that you confirm this, so that those who believe in God may strive to be diligent in good works: this is good and profitable for men.

9 But turn away from foolish contests, and genealogies, and disputes, and strife about the law, for they are useless and vain.

10 A heretic, after the first and second admonition, turn away,

11 knowing that such a one is depraved and sinning, being self-condemned.
