Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments

I will rejoice and rejoice in you, I will sing to your name, O Most High.

When my enemies are turned back, they will stumble and perish before you,

for thou hast carried out my judgment and my lawsuit; Thou art seated on the throne, O righteous Judge.

Thou hast been indignant with the nations, Thou hast destroyed the wicked, Thou hast blotted out their name for ever and ever.

The enemy hath no weapons at all, and thou hast destroyed the cities; their memory perished with them.

But the Lord abides for ever; He has prepared His throne for judgment;

And he will judge the world in righteousness, he will judge the nations in righteousness.

And the Lord shall be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble;

And they that know thy name shall trust in thee: for thou dost not forsake them that seek thee, O Lord.

Sing to the Lord who dwelleth in Zion, declare his works among the nations,

for he demands for blood; remembers them, does not forget the cry of the oppressed.

Have mercy on me, O Lord; Look upon my affliction at the hands of them that hate me, Thou who liftest me up from the gates of death,

that I may declare all thy praises in the gate of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation.

The nations fell into the pit which they had dug; in the snare which they hid, their foot was entangled.

The Lord was known according to the judgment which he had done; the wicked are caught by the works of his hands.

Let the wicked turn to hell, all the nations that forget God.

For the poor shall not be forgotten for ever, neither shall the hope of the poor be utterly lost.

Arise, O Lord, let not man prevail, let the nations be judged before Thy face.

Bring fear upon them, O Lord; let the nations know that they are men.

Why, O Lord, do you stand afar off, hiding yourself in the time of trouble?

In his pride the wicked pursue the poor: let them be caught by the artifices which they themselves devise.
