Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments

21 And the Lord said to Moses, 'When thou goest and return to Egypt, behold, all the wonders which I have given thee, do before Pharaoh, and I will harden his heart, and he will not let the people go.'

22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, my firstborn;

23 I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me; but if you do not let him go, behold, I will kill your son, your firstborn.

24 On the way to the night's lodging, it came to pass that the Lord met him, and wanted to kill him.

25 Then Zipporah took a stone knife, and circumcised the foreskin of her son, and threw it at his feet, saying, 'You are a bridegroom of my blood.'

26 And the Lord departed from him. Then she said, "The bridegroom of blood is circumcision."

27 And the Lord said to Aaron, 'Go to meet Moses in the wilderness.' And he went, and met him at the mountain of God, and kissed him.

28 And Moses told Aaron all the words of the Lord who had sent him, and all the signs which he had commanded.

29 And Moses went with Aaron, and they gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel,

30 And Aaron told them all the words which the LORD had spoken to Moses; And Moses made signs in the sight of the people;

31 And the people believed; And they heard that the Lord had visited the children of Israel, and had seen their affliction, and they bowed down and worshipped.

Chapter 5

1 And Moses and Aaron came to Pharaoh, and said, Thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may keep me a feast in the wilderness.

2 But Pharaoh said, "Who is the Lord, that I should obey his voice, and let Israel go?" I do not know the Lord, and I will not let Israel go.
