Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments
5 For thou hast made me glad, O Lord, in thy creation: I admire the works of thy hands.
6 How great are your works, O Lord! wonderfully deep are Thy thoughts!
7 A foolish man knoweth not, and an ignorant man knoweth not these things.
8 Whereas the wicked spring up like grass, and those who work iniquity blossom, to perish forever,
9 Thou, O Lord, art exalted for ever!
10 For behold, O Lord, Thy enemies, behold, Thy enemies perish, and all those who work iniquity are scattered;
11 And my horn thou liftest up like the horn of a unicorn, and I am anointed with fresh oil;
12 And my eye looketh upon my enemies, and my ears hear of evildoers rising up against me.
13 The righteous man blossoms like a palm tree, rises like a cedar in Lebanon.
14 Planted in the house of the Lord, they blossom in the courts of our God;
15 Even in old age they are fertile, juicy and fresh,
16 To declare that the Lord my stronghold is righteous, and there is no iniquity in him.
Psalm 92
[Song of Praise of David: On the day before the Sabbath, when the earth is inhabited.]
1 The Lord reigns; He is clothed with majesty, the Lord is clothed with might: therefore the world is strong, it will not be moved.
2 Thy throne is established from the beginning: Thou art from everlasting.
3 The rivers lift up, O Lord, the rivers lift up their voices, the rivers lift up their waves.
4 But more than the sound of many waters, the mighty waves of the sea, the Lord is mighty in the highest.
5 Thy testimonies are surely true. To Thy house, O Lord, belongs holiness for long days.
Psalm 93
[Psalm of David on the fourth day of the week.]
