And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,

This 2nd month shall be the beginning of the months for you, and the first it shall be given to you among the months of the year.

Say to all the congregation of Israel, 'On the tenth day of this month, they shall take unto themselves every lamb according to families, a lamb per family;

And if the family is so small that it will not eat the lamb, then let it take with its neighbor who is nearest to its house, according to the number of the souls: according to the measure that each one eats, you shall count for the lamb.

You shall have a lamb without blemish, a male, a year old; Take it from the sheep, or from the goats;

And it shall be kept with you until the fourteenth day of this month: then all the congregation of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening,

And they shall take of its blood, and anoint it on the two doorposts, and on the lintel of the doors of the houses where they shall eat it.

And they shall eat his flesh this very night, baked in the fire. with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs, let them eat it;

You shall not eat of it unbaked, or boiled in water, but you shall eat the things baked in the fire, the head with the legs and the intestines.

You shall not leave it until morning, but you shall burn what is left of it until morning.

Eat it thus: let your loins be girded up, your shoes on your feet, and your staves in your hands, and eat it with haste: this is the Passover of the Lord.

But I will go this very night through the land of Egypt, and I will smite every firstborn in the land of Egypt, from man to beast, and I will execute judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the Lord.

And you will have blood as a sign on the houses where you are, and I will see the blood, and I will pass by you, and there will be no destructive plague among you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

And this day shall be remembered unto you, and ye shall keep on it the feast of the Lord for all your generations; as an everlasting institution, celebrate it.
