Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments

26 There shall be no prematurely bearing and barren in thy land; I will make the number of thy days complete.

27 I will send my terror before thee, and I will bring into confusion every nation that thou comest to, and I will turn the rear of all thy enemies unto thee;

28 I will send hornets before you, and they will drive away from your presence the Hivites and the Canaanites and the Hittites.

29 I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land be desolate, and the beasts of the field multiply against you.

30 Little by little I will drive them away from thee, until thou hast multiplied, and hast taken possession of this land.

31 I will draw thy borders from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the river [the great Euphrates], for I will deliver into your hands the inhabitants of this land, and thou shalt drive them out from before thee.

32 [Do not mingle and] do not make a covenant with them, nor with their gods;

33 They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they lead thee into sin against me. for if you serve their gods, it will be a snare for you.

Chapter 24

1 And he said to Moses, 'Go up to the Lord, you and Aaron, and Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and worship [the Lord] from afar;

2 And Moses alone shall draw near to the Lord, but they shall not come near, and the people shall not go up with him.

3 And Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord and all the laws. And all the people answered with one voice, and said, "All that the Lord has said, we will do [and we will obey]."

4 And Moses wrote all the words of the Lord, and arose early in the morning, and set under the mountain an altar and twelve stones, according to the number of the twelve tribes of Israel.

5 And he sent the young men of the children of Israel, and they offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed the calves for a peace offering to the LORD.
