35 A good man brings out good things out of a good treasure, and an evil man brings out evil things out of an evil treasure.

36 And I say unto you, that for every idle word that men speak, they shall give account in the day of judgment, saying,

37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.

38 Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said, 'Teacher! we would like to see a sign from You.

39 But he answered and said unto them, 'A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh a sign; and no sign shall be given him, except the sign of Jonah the prophet;

40 For as Jonah was in the belly of the whale three days and three nights, so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.

41 And the Ninevites shall rise up to judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it, for they have repented because of the preaching of Jonah; and behold, there is more Jonah here.

42 The queen of the south shall rise up to judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it, for she has come from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, there is more Solomon here.

43 And when an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he walketh in dry places, seeking rest, and finds none;

44 Then he said, "I will return to my house from whence I came." And when he comes, he finds it unoccupied, swept and tidy;

45 Then he goes, and takes with him seven other spirits, which are worse than himself, and having entered, they dwell there. and for that man the latter is worse than the first. So it will be with this evil generation.

46 And while he was still speaking to the people, his mother and his brethren were standing outside the house, desiring to speak with him.

47 And a man said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.

48 And he answered and said to him that said, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
