Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments

And he answered and said unto them, 'One of the twelve, dipping with me in a dish.'

Yet the Son of Man is coming, as it is written of him; but woe to the man to whom the Son of Man is betrayed: it would have been better for that man not to have been born.

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and broke, and gave it to them, and said, "Take, eat; This is My Body.

And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, and they all drank of it.

And he said to them, 'This is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many.'

Verily I say unto you, I shall drink no more of the fruit of the vine until the day that I shall drink new wine in the kingdom of God.

And having sung, they went up to the Mount of Olives.

And Jesus said to them, 'You will all be offended in me this night; for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.

And after my resurrection, I will go before you in Galilee.

And Peter said unto him, 'Though all shall be offended, but not I.'

And Jesus said to him, 'Verily I say to you, that this night, before the crows twice, you will deny me three times.'

But he said with still greater effort, 'Though I should die with you, I will not deny you.' Everyone said the same.

And they came to a village called Gethsemane; And he said to his disciples, Sit here while I pray.

And he took with him Peter, James, and John; And he began to be terrified and sad.

And he said unto them, My soul is sorrowful unto death; stay here and watch.

And having gone a little farther, he fell to the ground, and prayed that, if possible, this hour might pass away from him;

And he said, "Abba Father! all things are possible to Thee; carry this cup past me; but not what I want, but what You.

And he returned, and found them asleep, and said to Peter, "Simon! Are you sleeping? Could you not be awake for one hour?

Watch and pray, that ye may not fall into temptation: the spirit is strong, but the flesh is weak.

And going away again, he prayed, saying the same word.

And when he returned, he found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy, and they did not know what to answer him.
