Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments

I will make your cities desolate, and I will desolate your sanctuaries, and I will not smell the sweet fragrance of your sacrifices.

I will desolate the land, so that your enemies who dwell in it will be amazed at it.

but I will scatter you among the nations, and draw the sword after you, and your land shall be desolate, and your cities destroyed.

Then shall the land satisfy itself for its sabbaths, all the days of desolation; When you are in the land of your enemies, then the earth will rest, and will satisfy itself for its sabbaths.

As long as it is desolate, it shall rest as much as it rested on your sabbaths, when you dwelt therein.

To the hearts of the remnant of you I will send timidity in the land of their enemies, and the noise of the wavering leaf shall drive them away, and they shall flee as by the sword, and shall fall, when no one pursues,

and they shall stumble upon one another as by a sword, while no one pursueth, and ye shall have no strength to resist thy enemies;

And you will perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies will devour you.

but the remnant of you shall fade away for their iniquities in the lands of your enemies, and for the iniquities of their fathers they shall wither.

Then shall they confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, as they have committed transgressions against me, and have gone against me,

wherefore I also went against them, and brought them into the land of their enemies; then their uncircumcised heart will be subdued, and then they will suffer for their iniquities.

And I will remember my covenant with Jacob, and my covenant with Isaac, and my covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land;

Whereas the earth shall be forsaken by them, and shall satisfy itself for its sabbaths, being desolate from them, and they shall suffer for their iniquity, because they have despised my laws, and their souls have abhorred my statutes,

and while they shall be in the land of their enemies, I will not despise them, nor abhor them, to destroy them, that I may destroy my covenant with them, for I am the Lord their God.
