Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments

6 And Abram said to Sarai, Behold, thy maidservant is in thy hand; do with it what you please. And Sarah oppressed her, and she ran away from her.

7 And the angel of the LORD found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by a fountain on the road to Shur.

8 And the angel of the Lord said, "Hagar, Sarina's maidservant! Where did you come from and where are you going? And she said, I am fleeing from the presence of Sarah my lady.

9 And the angel of the Lord said unto her, Return unto thy lady, and submit unto her.

10 And the angel of the Lord said unto her, 'I will multiply thy offspring, that it may not be numbered of the multitude.'

11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and thou shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael, for the LORD hath heard thy affliction;

12 He shall be among men as a wild ass; His hands are against all, and the hands of all against him; he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

13 And she called the Lord who spoke to her by this name, Thou art the God that sees me. For she said, "As if I had seen here in the wake of him who saw me."

14 Wherefore that fountain is called, Beer-lahai-roi. It is located between Kadesh and Bared.

15 Hagar bore Abram a son; And he called the name of his son born of Hagar Ishmael.

16 Abram was eighty-six years old when Hagar bore Abram Ishmael.

1 Abram was ninety-nine years old, and the Lord appeared to Abram, and said to him, I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless;

2 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee, and I will multiply thee exceedingly.
