Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments

And what did he do for you in the wilderness, until you came to this place,

And what did he do to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab the son of Reuben, when the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up in the midst of all Israel, and their families, and their tents, and all their possessions that they had;

for your eyes have seen all the great works of the Lord which he has done.

Therefore keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that you may be strengthened, and go and possess the land into which you are going [beyond the Jordan], that you may possess it;

and that ye may dwell a long time in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give them and to their seed, in a land flowing with milk and honey.

For the land into which thou goest to possess it is not like the land of Egypt out of which ye came, where thou didst sow thy seed, and watered it with thy feet as an olive garden;

But the land into which you go to possess it is a land with mountains and valleys, and it is watered by the rain of heaven,

The land for which the LORD thy God cares: the eyes of the LORD thy God shall be upon it continually, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.

If you will listen to my commandments which I command you this day, to love the Lord your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,

then I will give rain to your land in due season, early and late; and thou shalt gather thy bread, and thy wine, and thy oil;

And I will give grass in thy field for thy cattle, and thou shalt eat and be satisfied.

Take heed lest your heart be deceived, and ye turn away, and serve other gods, and worship them;

And then the anger of the Lord shall be kindled against you, and he shall shut up the heavens, and there shall be no rain, and the earth shall not bring forth its produce, and ye shall soon perish from the good land which the LORD giveth you.

Therefore put these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and bind them as a sign on your hand, and let them be a bandage over your eyes.
