Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments
21 He is thy praise, and he is thy God, who hath done unto thee those great and dreadful works which thy eyes have seen;
22 With seventy [five] souls thy fathers came into Egypt, and now the Lord thy God hath made thee as numerous as the stars of heaven.
Chapter 11
1 Thou shalt therefore love the Lord thy God, and observe what he is commanded to keep, and his statutes, and his laws, and his commandments always.
2 And remember now, for I do not speak to your sons, who do not know, nor have seen the chastisement of the Lord your God, his majesty [and] his mighty hand and his high arm,
3 His signs, and his works, which he did in the midst of Egypt with Pharaoh king of Egypt, and with all his land,
4 and what did he do to the army of Egypt, to his horses and his chariots, which he drowned in the waters of the Red Sea while they were pursuing you, and the Lord [God] has destroyed them even to this day;
5 And what did he do for you in the wilderness, until you came to this place,
6 And what did he do to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab the son of Reuben, when the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up in the midst of all Israel, and their families, and their tents, and all their possessions that they had;
7 for your eyes have seen all the great works of the Lord which he has done.
8 Therefore keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that you may be strengthened, and go and possess the land into which you are going [beyond the Jordan], that you may possess it;
9 and that ye may dwell a long time in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give them and to their seed, in a land flowing with milk and honey.
10 For the land into which thou goest to possess it is not like the land of Egypt out of which ye came, where thou didst sow thy seed, and watered it with thy feet as an olive garden;
11 But the land into which you go to possess it is a land with mountains and valleys, and it is watered by the rain of heaven,
