1 And the LORD said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh and say to him, 'Thus says the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me;

2 For if thou wilt not let them go, and yet keep them,

3 Behold, the hand of the Lord shall be upon thy cattle, which are in the field, and on horses, and on asses, and on camels, and on oxen, and on sheep: there shall be a pestilence very grievous;

4 And the LORD shall divide between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt, and of all the children of Israel not one shall die.

5 And the Lord appointed a time, saying, Tomorrow the Lord will do it in this land.

6 And the Lord did this on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt perished; but of the cattle of the children of Israel nothing died.

7 Pharaoh sent to inquire, and behold, of all the cattle of the children of Israel, not one died. But Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he would not let the people go.

8 And the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "Take a handful of ashes from the furnace, and Moses shall cast them into heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.

9 And dust shall rise up in all the land of Egypt, and there shall be inflammation in men and cattle, with boils, in all the land of Egypt.

10 They took the ashes out of the furnace and stood before Pharaoh. Moses threw him up to heaven, and there was inflammation with boils on the people and on the cattle.

11 And the wise men could not stand before Moses because of the inflammation, because the inflammation was on the wise men and on all the Egyptians.

12 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he did not listen to them, as the LORD had spoken to Moses.

13 And the LORD said to Moses, "Tomorrow arise early, and appear before Pharaoh, and say to him, 'Thus says the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me;

14 For this time I will send all my plagues into your heart, and against your servants, and against your people, that you may know that there is none like me in all the earth.
