[967] Но князь царства Персидского стоял против меня двадцать один день; но вот, Михаил, один из первых князей, пришел помочь мне, и я остался там при царях Персидских… Впрочем я возвещу тебе, что начертано в истинном писании; и нет никого, кто поддерживал бы меня в том, кроме Михаила, князя вашего.

[968] И восстанет в то время Михаил, князь великий, стоящий за сынов народа твоего; и наступит время тяжкое, какого не бывало с тех пор, как существуют люди, до сего времени; но спасутся в это время из народа твоего все, которые найдены будут записанными в книге.

[969] [по ту сторону Иордана против Иерихона] от колена Рувимова [дан город убежища для убийцы] Бецер [в пустыне Мисор] и предместья его, Иааца и предместья ее

[970] Но Авенир, сын Ниров, начальник войска Саулова, взял Иевосфея, сына Саулова, и привел его в Маханаим…

[971] И пришел Давид в Маханаим, а Авессалом перешел Иордан, сам и весь Израиль с ним… Когда Давид пришел в Маханаим, то Сови, сын Нааса, из Раввы Аммонитской, и Махир, сын Аммиила, из Лодавара, и Верзеллий Галаадитянин из Роглима…

[972] Верзеллий же был очень стар, лет восьмидесяти. Он продовольствовал царя в пребывание его в Маханаиме, потому что был человек богатый.

[973] Первый вышел красный, весь, как кожа, косматый; и нарекли ему имя Исав.

[974] This is the genealogy of Esau, who is also Edom.

[975] And Esau said to Jacob, "Give me to eat this red, this red, for I am tired." From this he was given the nickname: Edom.

[976] and the Horites in their mountain Seir, as far as El-Faran in the wilderness.

[977] and on Seir the Horites lived before; but the children of Esau drove them out, and destroyed them from before them, and dwelt in their stead, as Israel did with the land of their inheritance which the Lord had given them.

[978] And give a command to the people, and say, You will pass through the borders of your brethren, the sons of Esau, who dwell in Seir, and they will fear you. but beware of making war with them, for I will not give you their land one foot apart, for I have given Mount Seir to Esau for possession.

[979] And we passed by our brethren, the sons of Esau, who dwelt in Seir, by the way of the plain, from Elath and Ezion-geber, and we turned, and went to the wilderness of Moab.

[980] And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the people of his house, and [all] his flocks, and all his cattle, and all his possessions which he had acquired in the land of Canaan, and went [Esau] to another land from the presence of Jacob his brother...
