[1274] And Joseph saw the children of Ephraim to the third generation, and the sons of Machir the son of Manasseh were born on Joseph's knees.

[1275] The sons of Joseph according to their generations: Manasseh and Ephraim. The sons of Manasseh: from Mahir the family of Machirov; these are the generations of the sons of Ephraim, according to their number: thirty-two thousand and five hundred.

[1276] But thou hast raged like water, and thou shalt not prevail, for thou hast ascended upon thy father's bed, thou hast defiled my bed, on which thou hast ascended.

[1277] the blessings of thy father, which exceed the blessings of the mountains of old, and the sweetness of the hills of eternity; let them be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of the chosen one among his brethren.

[1278] And thou shalt bring their Levites before the Lord, and the children of Israel shall lay their hands on the Levites;

[1279] And the Lord said to Moses, "Take to you Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom there is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him... And he laid his hands on him, and gave him instruction, as the Lord had spoken through Moses.

[1280] Then the children were brought to Him, that He might lay His hands on them and pray; but the disciples rebuked them.

[1281] They were placed before the Apostles, and these, having prayed, laid their hands on them.

[1282] And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you: you will be blind, and you will not see the sun until the time comes. And suddenly darkness and darkness fell upon him, and he turned hither and thither, looking for a guide.

[1283] Abram was ninety-nine years old, and the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, "I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless;

[1284] And all his sons and all his daughters were gathered together to comfort him; but he would not be comforted, and said, "With sorrow I will go down to my son into hell." Thus his father mourned him.

[1285] And may God Almighty grant you to find mercy from a man, that he may release to you also your other brother and Benjamin, and if I am already childless, let me be childless.

[1286] And he bought a part of the field in which he pitched his tent from the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for a hundred coins.

[1287] And the bones of Joseph, which the children of Israel had brought out of Egypt, were buried in Shechem, in a piece of the field which Jacob bought from the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for a hundred coins, and which went to the sons of Joseph as an inheritance.
