"Fight them until the temptation disappears and until the religion (worship) is completely dedicated to Allah. And if they cease, then Allah sees what they are doing" (Surah 8 "Prey" 39).

"Prepare against them as much strength and war horses as you can to terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy, as well as those whom you do not know, but whom Allah knows. Whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be returned to you in full, and you will not be wronged" (Surah 8 "Booty" 60).

"O Prophet! Inspire believers to fight. If there are twenty patient among you, they will overcome two hundred; but if there be a hundred of them among you, they will overcome a thousand disbelievers, for they are a people who do not understand" (Surah 8 "Booty" 65).

"When the forbidden months are over, kill the polytheists wherever you find them, take them prisoner, besiege them, and lay an ambush for them. If they repent and pray and pay zakat, then let them go, for Allah is Forgiving, Merciful" (Surah 9 "Repentance" 5).

"But if they break their oaths after the conclusion of the covenant and begin to encroach upon your religion, then fight against the leaders of unbelief, for there are no oaths for them. Maybe then they will stop. Will you not fight with the people who have broken their oaths and are determined to expel the Messenger? They started first. Are you afraid of them? You should fear Allah more if you are believers" (Surah 9 "Repentance" 12-13).

Even visiting the Forbidden Mosque and taking care of it cannot be compared with jihad in the cause of Allah. According to a hadith from Muslim's collection: Verses 19-22 of Surah al-Penance came down in response to a dispute about what is the best thing after the faith. One of them said that visiting the Forbidden Mosque, another - supplying water to pilgrims, the third - jihad in the path of Allah. It is not permissible to seek out and invent another reason for the revelation of these verses or to try to interpret them. For these verses have a clear meaning.28

"Say: 'If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your spouses, your families, the property you have acquired, the trade of which you fear stagnation, and the dwellings you have chosen are dearer to you than Allah, His Messenger and the struggle in His way, then wait until Allah comes with His command. Allah does not guide the wicked" (Surah 9 "Repentance" 24).

"O you who believe! Why, when you are called to go on a campaign in the cause of Allah, do you fall heavily to the ground? Are you content with the worldly life more than the Hereafter? But the transient pleasure of worldly life is negligible in comparison with the Hereafter. If you do not go on a campaign, He will subject you to excruciating suffering and replace you with another people. You will not harm Him in any way, for Allah is capable of all things" (Surah 9 "Repentance" 38-39).

"Go out on a campaign, whether it is easy or burdensome for you, and fight in the cause of Allah with your wealth and your souls. It would be better for you if you only knew" (Surah 9 "Repentance" 41)

"Those who believe in Allah and in the Last Day do not ask you permission to fight with their wealth and their souls. Allah knows the God-fearing" (Surah 9 "Repentance" 44).

"Indeed, Allah bought from the believers their lives and property in exchange for Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah, killing and dying..." (Surah 9 "Repentance" 111).

"O you who believe! Fight the unbelievers who are near you. And let them be convinced of your severity. And know that Allah is with those who fear Allah" (Surah 9 "Repentance" 123).

"O you who believe! Should I point you to a trade that will save you from excruciating suffering? Believe in Allah and His Messenger and fight in the cause of Allah with your wealth and your souls. It would be better for you, if only you knew. He will forgive you your sins, lead you into the Gardens of Eden where the rivers flow, and into the beautiful dwellings in the Gardens of Eden. This is a great success. There will also be what you love: help from Allah and a near victory. Tell the good news to the believers!" (Surah 37 The Rows 10-13).

"When you meet unbelievers on the battlefield, you cut off heads. When you loosen them, then fasten the fetters. And then either have mercy, or take a ransom until the war lays down its burden. Just like that! If Allah had willed, He would have taken revenge on them, but He wanted to test some of you through the others. He will never make in vain the deeds of those who are killed in the cause of Allah" (Surah 47 Muhammad 4).
