Those beings who have fallen from the state of primordial bliss, but who have not fallen incurably, are subject to the command and administration of the holy and blessed orders described above; Using their help and correcting themselves under the influence of salvific instructions and teachings, they can return and be placed in a state of their blessedness. It is from these beings, in my opinion, as far as I can understand, that this present order of the human race consists, which in the age to come, or in the ages to come, when, according to Isaiah (Isaiah 66:22), there will be a new heaven and a new earth, of course, will be restored to that unity which the Lord Jesus promises, saying to God the Father about His disciples: "I do not pray only for them, but also for those who believe in Me according to the word; them: that they may all be one; as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, so may they also be one in Us" (John 17:20-21). And again He says: "That they may be one, even as we are one. I am in them, and you are in me; that they may be made one" (Ibid., 22-23). This is confirmed by the Apostle Paul in the words: "Until we all come into the unity of faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ" (Ephesians 4:13). The same Apostle urges us to imitate this unity even in the present life, while we are in the church, in which, of course, the image of the future kingdom is contained: "That you may all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you may be united in one spirit and one mind" (1 Corinthians 1:10).

However, it should be known that some of the beings who have fallen away from the above-mentioned one principle have fallen into such lewdness and malice that they have become unworthy of that instruction or instruction by which the human race is instructed and learned in its carnal state, with the help of the heavenly powers; on the contrary, they are in enmity and confrontation with those who are taught and instructed. That is why all this life of mortals (beings) is full of exploits and struggles: for it is these beings who are at enmity and confronting us, who have fallen from a better state without any prudence, and to which belong the so-called devil and his angels, as well as other orders of malice, which the Apostle mentioned among the opposing forces. But, it may be asked, can some of these orders, acting under the command of the devil and obeying his malice, at some time in future ages turn to good, because they still possess the faculty of free will, or whether the constant and old malice, as a result of habit, must turn into a certain nature in them, as it were? You, the reader, must inquire whether this part (of beings) will not really be in complete disagreement with that ultimate unity and harmony, either in these visible temporal ages, or in those invisible and eternal ages? In any case, both during these visible and temporal ages, and during those invisible and eternal ages, all existing beings are distributed according to the order, measure, kind, and merits of their merits; Moreover, some of them will attain the invisible and eternal (being) at the very beginning, others only later, and some even in the last times, and then only by means of the greatest and most grievous punishments and long, so to speak, centuries-old, most severe corrections, after being taught first by the angelic powers, then by the powers of the higher degrees, in a word, by a gradual ascent to heaven, by passing, in some form of instruction, all the individual ministries inherent in the heavenly powers. From this, I think, it is quite consistent to conclude that every rational being, passing from one order to another, can gradually pass (from his rank) into all the others, and from all into each particular order, because each being attains all these various states of success and decline by its own movements and efforts, which are conditioned by the capacity of each (being) to volition.

(From Jerome's letter to Abitus: "Those who have wavered, but have not stumbled and have not fallen, these will be subject to principalities, powers, thrones, and dominions for the sake of government, guidance, and direction, and perhaps in one of the worlds, when, according to Isaiah, there will be a new heaven and a new earth (Isa. 66.22), they will make up the human race. Those who are not worthy to return to their former state through the human race will become the devil and his angels, the worst demons, and, according to the difference of merit in each world, will receive different duties. And the very demons and rulers of darkness in any world or worlds, if they show a desire to turn to a better one, become men and thus return to the former beginning; However, they attain angelic dignity only through the punishments and torments they endure, for a long or short time in the bodies of men. From this it follows that all rational creatures come from men, not once or instantaneously, but repeatedly, and that we, like the angels, if we live negligently, will become demons, and, conversely, the demons, if they wish to acquire virtues, attain the dignity of angels."

"When, at the end and completion of the world, as if from certain locks and prisons, souls and rational creatures are released by the Lord, some of them, out of carelessness, will come out later, and others, out of their zeal, will fly with speed. And since all have free will, and can voluntarily indulge in either virtue or vice, the former will be in a much worse state than they are now, and the latter will pass into a better state, because the different movements and dispositions of the will in one direction or the other will serve as the basis of different states; then angels can become people or demons, and, conversely, from demons people or angels can come."

From the letter of Justinian to Menas: "I also think that the human race may one day be replenished from those subject to evil principles, and powers, and rulers of the world in each world, or from rational beings of some world, who will relatively soon accept the beneficence (good influence) and themselves desire to change").
