The Gospel of John

19 Then they said to him, 'Where is your Father?' Jesus answered, "You know neither Me nor My Father; if you had known me, you would have known my Father also.

2These are the words Jesus spoke at the treasury when He taught in the temple; and no man took him, because his hour had not yet come.

21 And Jesus said to them again, 'I am departing, and ye shall seek me, and ye shall die in your sin.' Where I go, *there* you cannot come.

22 Then the Jews said, 'Will he kill himself?' that he says, 'Where am I going, you cannot come?'

23 And he said unto them, Ye are of the lowest, I am of the highest; you are of this world, I am not of this world.

24 Therefore I told you that you would die in your sins; for if you do not believe that it is I, you will die in your sins.

25 Then they said to him, 'Who are you?' Jesus said to them, "From the beginning I am, just as I say to you."

26 I have much to say, and to judge of you; but He who sent Me is true, and what I have heard from Him, that I also say to the world.

27 They did not understand what He was saying to them about the Father.

28 So Jesus said to them, 'When you have lifted up the Son of man, then you will know that it is I, and that I do nothing of myself, but as my Father has taught me, so I say.'

29 He who sent Me is with Me; The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do what pleases Him.

E-30 As He said these things, many believed on Him.

31 Then Jesus said to the Jews who believed in him, 'If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples,

32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.
