«...Иисус Наставник, помилуй нас!»

Chapter 1. Those who believe in the Lord must be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

(Matthew 28:19): "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."

(John 3:3): "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." And again (John 3:5): "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

Chapter 2. What is the intention and what is the power of baptism? Through him, the one being baptized changes in mind, word, and deed, and by the power given to him becomes the same as the One who begat him.

(John 3:6-8): "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be surprised that I said to you, You must be born again. The Spirit breathes where it will, and you hear its voice, but you do not know whence it comes and whither it goes: so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit."

(Romans 6:11): "In the same way, consider yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

(Romans 6:3-7): "Do you not know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him by baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we are united to Him in the likeness of His death, then we must be united in the likeness of the resurrection, knowing that our old man was crucified with Him, so that the body of sin might be abolished, so that we should no longer be slaves to sin; for he who died was freed from sin."
