Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you have need of before you ask him.

Pray thus:

Our Father, who art in heaven! hallowed be thy name;

Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven;

Give us this day our daily bread;

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory for ever. Amen.

For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you,

But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses.

Likewise, when you fast, do not be discouraged like the hypocrites, for they put on gloomy faces, that they may appear to men to be fasting. Verily I say unto you, they have already received their reward.

And thou, when thou fastest, anoint thy head, and wash thy face;

That thou mayest appear fasting, not before men, but before thy Father, who is in secret. and thy Father, who seeth in secret, will reward thee openly.

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures in the land, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal,

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, And where thieves break in and steal,

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, if thine eye be pure, thy whole body shall be light;

But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be dark. If, then, the light that is in you is darkness, what is the darkness?

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other. or he will be zealous for the one, and neglect the other. You can't serve God and mammon.

Wherefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your soul what ye shall eat or what ye shall drink, nor for your body what ye shall put on. Is not the soul more than food, and the body more than clothing?

Behold the fowls of the air: they neither sow nor reap, nor gather into barns; and your Father which is in heaven feedeth them. Aren't you much better than them?

And who among you, by care, can increase his stature by one cubit?
